Netflix has two different services: a web based streaming platform obtained via www.netflix.com and other apps, and also a DVD rental program via dvd.netflix.com, that sends you DVDs through the mail.

What Is Netflix? What You Need to learn About This Streaming Service

DVD program on Netflix includes some TV shows and movies that are not available via their streaming service. However, you can watch both DVDs and Blu-rays, you pay just once a month, and there are two plans to pick from relying on how many discs you will be able to borrow at once.

The DVDs and Blu-rays from Netflix arrive your house in 1–3 business days and are also easy to return through the mail.

DVD Plans on Netflix’s 

Netflix has two DVD plans. Both gives unlimited discs per month, there are no late fees, free shipping and returns, DVDs and Blu-rays, and no long-term commitment (just month-by-month).

The only difference between these plans is the number of discs you can have at once:

  • Standard: $9.99 /month; one disc at a time
  • Premier: $11.99 /month; two discs at a time

How to Sign Up for DVD Netflix 

Follow these steps below If you’re already subscribed to Netflix’s streaming service, otherwise skip down to the next set of instructions:

Existing Customers 

  1. Visit DVD Netflix and login with your Netflix information.
  2. Select Add DVD Plan.

3. Select the plan you wish to subscribe for, and then 
choose Get Started.

4. Fill out your shipping information, and then select Start.

New Users 

If you don’t have a Netflix account at the moment, follow these steps instead:

  1. Visit DVD Netflix at DVD.com.
  2. Choose Sign Up.
3. Select the plan you wish to have, and then select Get Started.
4. Enter your email address, choose a password, and then click Continue.
5. Enter your shipping information, and then select Continue.
6. Provide fee details, and then click on Start Membership.

How to select DVDs 

Based on your personal queue, Netflix will automatically sends DVDs to you, The order of receiving them is based on the way they’re arranged inside the queue.

Immediately you returned the DVD, the next title on the list is sent, and so on.

Here’s how to upload films to your DVD Netflix queue and then adjust which ones you’ll get first:

On a Laptop 

  1. Click on Add to queue or Add from DVD Netflix, depending on the screen you’re looking at, next to any DVD you want.


To upload a complete season of a TV show, pick the season you want to rent and click Add All to Queue.

You can find titles by searching by for the name of a particular person or genre. There’s also a Browse menu for getting well known movies, new releases, and Netflix’s top 100 titles.
2. Open your queue through the QUEUE menu at the top of the site to manage the DVDs. You can adjust the order by dragging the titles up and down. Delete an item by hovering your mouse over it and selecting the trash icon.

    With the Mobile App 

    Mobile customers too can as well manage the DVD Netflix queue. Click on the plus sign to upload a movie to TV show to the queue, and use the disc icon at the top right to edit the order or remove DVDs.

    How to go back to Netflix DVDs 

    In other to get the next one groom your queue, You have to return DVDs to Netflix.

    You can simply returning your rented DVDs to Netflix, all you have to do is put the disc into the sleeve and envelope that came with it when you received it, and then drop it on your mailbox or drop it off at a local post office.

    How to Cancel DVD Netflix 

    You can prevent getting DVDs from Netflix at any time by quitting the DVD Netflix program.

    If you cancel your Netflix DVD service, the queue will remain for 10 months in case you make a decision to reopen your account. All DVDs will have to be returned by the end of your billing cycle to avoid additional charges.

    1. sign in to Netflix at netflix.com or with the Netflix or DVD Netflix cellular app.
    2. Hover your mouse over the profile image at the top right of the screen, and then select Account. If you’re using the app, go to More > Account to open your account information in your browser.

    3. Choose Cancel DVD plan from the PLAN DETAILS section.

    4. Check the box next to Proceed to Cancellation, and then select Continue.
    5.Scroll down and make a choose Yes, I’m canceling my account.


    6. Select Done on the final page.
