TikTok has launched a new feature that’s intended to push deeper, more personal connections through the truncated video platform is in the works.
TikTok Now give you and your friends a little nudge to share more of your “authentic moments” on the platform. TikTok hopes to blend the more typical video production and sharing experience with something a bit more personal and possibly less planned.
Making possible connection and entertainment in a fun format, TikTok Now invites users and their friends to capture what they’re doing at the moment making use of their phone’s front and back camera. Users will receive a daily prompt to capture a 10-second video or a static photo to quickly and easily share what they’re up to.
You can however take a picture of what you’re doing or what’s happening around you or record something brief using the front and back cameras simultaneously.
Lot of TikTok’s safety and privacy policies will also apply to TikTok Now. You can now decide on who can view and engage with your TikTok posts, with an option to limit them to friends only if that’s your preference. Or you can open them up to “everyone in your area.”
In the US, for instance, TikTok Now is part of the main app. But in some other countries, TikTok Now will roll out to users worldwide “in the coming weeks,”. Users in unspecified non-US regions, however, may need to download TikTok Now as a separate app.
